ABOUT THE NS-2™ The Legendary NS-2™ Bass; Introduced in 1979, it has become the standard for what a Professional P/J Bass should be. Embraced by a virtual Who’s Who of iconic bassists representing every genre of music imaginable, the NS-2™ is the bass most often associated with SPECTOR®. In reality, very little has changed regarding the design or components of this model since the early 1980’s. You might ask why? The answer is simple; who are we to mess with perfection? Our USA Series™ Neck-Thru™ Models have 3-Piece Rock Maple Necks which are reinforced with two extruded graphite rods for maximum strength and durability.  Our NS-Body™ Neck-Thru Bass models can be finished in a wide assortment of stain colors, solid colors and finishes.  From a Matte Polyurethane Finish over one of our Exotic Top Options (EX) to a High Clear Gloss over a solid color, to a natural wood stain with a hand-rubbed oil finish.  There is a rainbow of opportunities.
