Our USA Series™ Neck-Thru Bass
models can be finished in a wide
assortment of stain colors, solid
colors and finishes. We use
AAAA USA Quilt Maple in
the construction of our USA
Neck-Thru basses, unless they are EX
- Exotic Top Models.

MAPLE FINISHES |
Quilt Maple has a beautiful natural
grain that we feel is best displayed
with the process we have
incorporated into our finishing
regimen.
We will stain the
prepped wood with a coat dark
(usually black) stain. Once
this is dry we will lightly sand the
finish. Some areas of the wood
are more porous than others and on
this initial coating of dark stain
some areas of the quilt will absorb
more stain than others. After
this procedure we then finish the
body with the desired color.
The resulting finish is striking and
beautiful, bringing out the full
"wave" pattern of the quilt. |
