Anna began studying electric bass at age 13,
switching to upright bass in high school. Anna says
her classical studies have provided a strong
foundation for her technique and artistic
sensibilities. As a music performance major in
college, she studied with some of the world's finest
bassists such as Darek Oles, Charlie Hayden and
Alphonso Johnson. Since then she has played with
many diverse artists including Les Brown, Jr., Andy
Williams, and Mickey Gilley and has toured from the
US to New Zealand and all points in between! She is
currently the bassist with the Frank Unzueta Jazz
Piano Trio and says, "I am totally dedicated to
Frank's music and vision. We are collaborating on
new compositions and I am so excited to finally have
an outlet for my jazz writing." |
