The original contoured ergonomic bass was
designed for
SPECTOR® by award winning
designer Ned Steinberger. The now historic
NS-Bass™ was the first Steinberger musical
instrument design and started its production
run in SPECTOR's Brooklyn workshop in 1977. |

This special very limited edition
NS-230™ Anniversary Bass featured museum quality inlays on the neck of 5 different species of bass. The inlays were designed by
Larry Robinson, author of
"The Art of Inlay". Larry's credits include the number
1,000,000th C.F. Martin guitar. |

These instruments were built to order.
Customers were able to choose from the
finest pieces of
SPECTOR's stock
of rare woods for building these
instruments. The production run for this
instrument as ended but never fret, Stuart
is already thinking about what the
40th Anniversary Bass is going to
look like. |
