Acton, Massachusetts brings us Jo Sallins, shown here with two of his four Spector Basses!

Jo began playing drums at the age of nine. As a teenager, he taught himself to play African and Latin percussion, electric bass and keyboards. He has toured in Asia, Canada, Africa and the US. From 1990 to 2005 Joe recorded 22 albums and has 10 years of performing in arts-in-education programs. His new CD/DVD “Mr. Cool” features Jo in Concert with Stanley Jordan as well as bonus footage of his latest endeavor, “The 2-Man Rio” with Jo playing bass and keyboards simultaneously with a guest drummer. The conclusion of the DVD, “Hey, Victa!” (a tribute to Victor Wooton) is a must see!

Red Lotus bassist Aalics Bronson plays his SSD NS-5CRFM and Euro6LX natural oil Spectors on their new CD "De Pinche Nada". You've heard them in Brazil, in the US, and soon in Europe. You've also heard them on iTunes and on TV on the "Degrassi High" ads!

Catch them this fall on their US tour starting in Boston and New Hampshire in August. The European tour starts in 2007.

Germain Leth of Argentina, pictured with his Euro 4, has been busy! He's working on an album with Ariadna Project, Watchmen, and Martin Knye Magiar.

Magiar is exciting, as it's a release from one of the hottest guitarists in Argentina, a guy influenced by folks like Yngwie Malmsteen. In addition to Argentina, the album was also worked on in Mexico and Spain.

I know when I think bluegrass, I think of Switzerland! Joel Landsberg plays his Spectorcore for The Kruger Brothers, originally from Switzerland. Almost twenty years later, after playing together in various formations throughout Europe, Uwe Kruger on guitar, and Jens Kruger on banjo, teamed up with bassist Joel Landsberg to form the band as it appears on stage today.

The Krugers have been playing for over 20 years, and appear regularly in the U.S. since 1997 at such prestigious events as, Merlefest, Doc Watson Music Fest, Wayne Henderson Festival, Walnut Valley Festival, Greyfox,and many others, Since moving to North Carolina permanently in the fall of 2003, the Kruger Brothers now look forward to concentrating their efforts on performing year-round throughout the United States.

Meet Michael Oughton, a good friend and long time Spector Bass player. Michael worked closely with Stuart Spector to design this special edition bass for Sam Ash. Here's the description from the Sam Ash Catalog:

"This very special edition bass was designed by our Michael Oughton with Stuart Spector and is the perfect balance of visual aesthetics and state of the art electronics. The two-piece body is sculpted from AAAA maple in the classic Ned Steinberger contoured body style. The neck is crafted from hard rock maple with a Pao Ferro fingerboard, graphite reinforcement rods, and the signature Spector brass nut for brightness and sustain. Featured in this bass is the ADM (Advanced Dynamic Magnetics) pickup system. The pickup is a humbucking Villex passive pickup with the proprietary Villex toroidal inductor midrange control. Meet Martyn Jones a long time Spector Player.

"I've been playing this bass since Stuart made it for me on the eve of his moving from his original shop in Brooklyn. I had originally bought the salmon pink one s/n750 in 84 but I traded it back to Stuart for the red beauty shown here, s/n1008. I was in a band called Refugee at the time and was signed to Chrysalis in New York and subsequently to Polygram Los Angeles and then Island Records International in 1990 under the name Myles Hunter. ...This is a worthy bass. The neck hasn't moved the whole time and has plenty of original fret left after only two dressings."

Martyn has spent years with this bass playing on sessions, on TV, Concerts, and Videos on four continents.

The photo on the left was taken duinga tour in Turkey where they played everyday for 5 weeks straight and his Spector Hard Case stood up to the abuse of 6 different airlines!

" The Euro4 was played in a wide variety of weather patterns, dry, cold, hot, wet, and maintained constant tuning and sound. I could not be more pleased. Now I am back home, playing with another band, doing the club circuit on the Outer Banks of NC. The weather is hot, very damp, and the bass just keeps on keeping on in high style. My P-Bass is no longer used because it will go out of tune so easily in this weather. I can not say enough good about my Euro4.
