The finish has chipped in a few places on the neck but still plays great!"

Meet Tom Davis who plays a Euro 5 and other Spectors. In his own words...

"My name is Tom Davis and I currently live just outside of Boston.  I have been playing since 1975, some of my first stage appearances were opening for Aerosmith when they released there first album and were playing high schools and small stadiums.  Then I played with Boston area bands during the late seventies and throughout the eighties, bands such as Pretty Poison, Astra and USA.  During the nineties I spent most of my time in the studio as a session player in Boston, NY (one of the “hired guns” of NY) and LA on occasion (the list of artists I have worked with goes on and on, but allot of it was confidential, I’m sure you understand).  I’m currently finishing up Kim Riley’s first solo CD and working on Hank Decken’s latest CD, then touring in support of both releases.  It’s good to be back on the road with my best friend Ron Stewart (drummer for the Joe Perry Project, USA, and Johnnie A)"

Cristan Rozas is one of the pioneering Spector players in Chili having been a proud owner since 1999. Formerly of the chilean rock band "Dracma" they won a 2001 mtv video people`s choice award, and toured all over latin america opening for acts such as Korn, Sepultura, and Animal.

Now, he's in a power metal virtuoso band called Human Factor on Mausoleum Records. Their new record "Unleashed" has been released around world and they will soon be launching their European tour.

Cristian's current collection of Spectors include 2 Euro5s and a 1983 USA NS-2.

We're please to introduce you to Canyon Records Recording Artist Ralph Sara. Ralph's band, Medicine Dream, plays a unique style of Native American music and he's chosen a Spector Legend 5 String to help create his sound.

They played at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. for an estimated 30-35,000 people at the 20th annual open house arts festival. Medicine Dream also played in Florida at the Annual "NAMMY's" in 2005.

They're nominated for a "Nammy" in 2006 and the new CD should be out soon. They're also playing at the 57th annual Mississippi Choctaw Indian fair with Dwight Yoakam, Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Byrd, and the Classic rock all stars.

Pictured is bassist Glenn Malicki, with the U.S.-based metal band PHANTOM-X. Glenn says he's thrilled to have finally discovered the Spector sound.

"The tonal quality and action on these guitars is amazing. On our 'Rise of the Phantom' cd, I used a Euro5 neck-thru on three songs, and it sounded killer. Then I switched to a Spectorcore semi-hollowbody for grins. The mids on the Spectorcore were great; it really cut through the mix. I finished all the tracks with it."

The disc is scheduled for release this fall on Mausoleum Records, and PHANTOM-X begins a European tour in September of 2005.

Fredrik Lundberg plays with the wildly successful Swedish band Morgana Lefay. Originally formed as Damaged in 1986, they've been touring and recording all over Europe, and now the US with their latest album “Grand Materia”.

So far 2006 is promising to be even better with a big tour confirmed in September and after that the recording of the next album.
 
They just completed the filming of the latest video for the track “I roam” from the current album and you can see his Spector in all the shots.

This is JET, the bassist for Gotsmack, Pheromone, Silent Lucidity, Bad Monkey, and five other Chicago based bands. His 15 year career in music has put him on stage in 13 countries and 27 states. Feel tired yet?  Jet says, “After years of performing with other high-end basses, I wish I had played a Spector sooner in my career.”

He's opened for Queensryche, and played for 3.5 million folks at Taste of Chicago. For the last 6 months he has been playing with Jessica Robinson (of CBS's RockStar INXS), touring the Midwest and some of the casino circuits across the country. New original material is in the works as well as some touring plans with other RockStar INXS cast members. Wow!

His Spector "world debut" kicked off in Eastern Europe recently with a live TV performance broadcast to over 1 million people, followed by a sold-out tour of Croatia and Bosnia!

Ricky's band, Project: Storm , recently released STRATAGEM on True Gemini Records. Also, expect new discs from The JBJ EXP (featuring drummer James Bradley, Jr of Crazytown) and vocalist Jevon McGlory (nephew of Phillip Bailey from Earth, Wind & Fire) which highlight Ricky's production skills as well as his bass work.

In Ricky's own words, "I've been a Spector fan since seeing Sting's NS-2 and attempting to modify my own bass to match. Now that I'm finally playing one, I'm wondering, 'Why did I WAIT so long?' Seriously, compared to a Spector, everything else is just a block of wood with strings! I'm honored to be a part of history."

Jim Hunter keeps himself busy with the bands Twisted Tower Dire, While Heaven Wept, October 31, and Revelation.

  While Heaven Wept is now on Blak Lotus Records, and are recording their new CD "Vast Oceans Lachrymose".


The new October 31 album "No Survivors" has been picked up my Caroline for distribution in the US and they're touring the States in support.

Twisted Tower Dire is finishing up "Netherworlds". Their last album "Crest of the Martyrs" is officially out in the States on Cleopatra/Magick Records.

Teri Avella graduated from the Aaron Copeland School of Music and has been using Spector basses since 1994. Teri's experiences include opening for Joan Jett and Laura Love, two performances with the Lilith Fair '98 tour and an appearance on the Today Show in New York.  

Teri has provided bottom for artists such as Michelle Wolf, Prince Charming, and Patti Rothberg,   as well as recording for Vancouver singer Fiona Lehn's 2001 release "One For Me".

In September 2003 Teri recorded the theme music and video intro for NBC's Today Show mini series "Women Who Rock" with Patti Rothberg.

Here's a couple of pictures of a unique bassist, and a dear friend, the late Rana Ross. We'll never forget her irrepressible nature and joy. She'll be missed. These were taken at NAMM in Anaheim, where Rana took possesion of her custom made Spector with Optical Pick-ups.

Shane Lunsford is the bassist for All But Screaming, a rock band out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa that is taking the mid west by storm.  Shane has been playing his Spector NS 95 5 string Bass for the last 10 years and now plays the new Euro 5 LX Natural Oil. Be watching for ABS to play a club near you.

Meet Philip Wang, bassist for two bands in New Orleans, including the band known as "the Greatest 80s Tribute Band on Earth", The MollyRingwalds! (Can you say Wang Chung?)

As you can see, when Phil plays to sold out shows, he uses a 4-string and a 5 string Spector, as well as his US Bolt-On 6-String bass.

Well, since we know who teh #1 cover band is in New Orleans, who's #2? It's 80's Hair Metal Tribute Band "Ratt Poison" with bassist Danny Shields, a friend of Phillip's and, of course, a Spector Player! They were voted #2 cover band in "Where Ya' At" magazine, so it must be so!

Danny can be found playing his two USA NS-2 basses or his NS-2A bass with Ratt Poison, or his two man band Black Snow.

After many years as a session player in Mexico, our friend Lalo Garcia decided to move to the US in the year 2000 and what a better way to start than playing with Chuck Berry! Lalo has used Spector basses for years, and currently owns 8 Spectors, including the only Maple Fingerboard bass we have ever made. For serious concerts he will only use a Spector.

Dave says, "I want you to know that my Spector Europe Series 5 has already become my main stage bass, and is quickly becoming one of my main session basses as well.  It is unbelievable both in response and tone. And it feels wonderful. It is hard to believe that this is a mid-priced model.  Like others who work for touring artists, I  have in the past been approached by various companies, but I take endorsements VERY seriously, and have had to turn them down, because I knew that I could not honestly represent their instrument.  Your basses, however, are a different story." 
 

This is Dave Bennignus from Nashville shown here with two great engineers (Jim Stelluto on the left, and Shane Gue on the right) at a studio where he does  sessions. Dave tells us they loved the way the bass tracked so much, they wanted to be in on the picture, and they recommend the Spector bass to other players who come through as well!

Dave is currently touring with CARMAN (that's Dave live in the other pic!) and has performed with a wide variety of artists, including Dickie Betts (Allman Bros), Joe Walsh (Eagles), and Rick Neilson (Cheap Trick).

Dave is also a member of the Euro-Pop band Entropy 64. It's a great project, check it out!

Benjamin Nielsen - Playing with a group called "Family" playing concerts for kids and teens in the former Yugoslavia. They are trying to spread a positive message to those kids. A big "Atta Boy" to our friend Benjamin!

Affectionately known to friends and fans as "Mikey Bones", New York native Michael Gerbino currently plays the part of Rolling Stone bassist, Bill Wyman, in, Satisfaction-The Worlds Greatest Show in tribute to the worlds greatest band. Michael and his Euro bass have played more than 2500 shows including 500 with "Legends in Concert" Las Vegas's longest running show.

His bass playing and musical background have been influenced by rock, funk, jazz, fusion, and bebop, and is as experienced and diverse as a player gets. Playing an amazing 3000 plus gigs have earned him stints with (punk legends) Chelsea, Johnny Thunders (New York Dolls), Cher, The Pointer Sisters, Motley Crue screamer Vince Neil, and others too numerous to list. He spent the late 80's and early 90's playing and touring with NY club legends, Kaiser (later known as the Bow'ry Boys).
