Boston has given us many things recently. In 1998, the rest of the country discovered a new alt-metal band on their self-titled release, "GODSMACK". Now, after a gig with the World Series winning Red Sox, the multi-platinum selling band recently released their new album "Godsmack IV" on Universal Records." The CD debuted at #1!.

Robbie Merrill, shown here with one of his left-handed Euro basses, has chosen to play Spector basses to help him further define his sound. Check out the 35" scale Euro 4LX-35 he plays!

Aaron Julison
A few bassists still have their first bass, but very few have taken their first bass as far as Kid Rock bassist Aaron Julison!

Aaron's red SSD NS-4CRFM from the 90s was his first bass and he still uses it. As a matter of fact, Aaron tells us the last Kid Rock studio CD was all recorded with this bass! This is what we mean when we say by "Basses Built for a Lifetime!"

Since then, he's also added a Euro4LX ultra amber burst and a ReBop4DLX blue stain.

These pics were taken just after a recent soundcheck. Next, they go back into the studio to record a new CD and then, out on the road for the next 1 1/2 years! Seems Aaron and his Spector are working hard.

Aaron Mills, bassist with Cameo, Outkast, Ramsey Lewis, and a host of others, has been playing Spectors for years. We're happy to have someone of Aaron's talent and abilities choose our basses. Here's an excerpt from an interview he gave a couple of years ago:

"When I first joined Cameo, I had a 1957 Fender Precision that I’d had souped up—it was a hot bass.  One time when I was in New York, I met Stuart Spector, and his are the greatest basses ever.  You’ve got Warrick basses, you’ve got Ken Smith basses, you’ve got Fenders, but Stuart Spector makes a great sounding bass.  I had him make me one, and it’s sort of beat up now, but it still sounds great. "

The quality and unique character of the instrument always cuts through no matter what type of music you perform. When, I purchased my first Spector the positive feedback from the audience and from other musicians was immediate. Your instruments perform flawlessly night after night, session after session. ... I would like to personally thank Stuart Spector and everyone associated with Spector basses for making the commitment to create and produce the best bass guitars in the world! Never waver on your commitment to quality and tone!"

This is Michael Hakansson of the Swedish Metal band, Evergrey. Since they released their first album in 1998, these guys have been showing the world that they have something different to offer. Now one of Europes most popular bands, we're excited that Michael has chosen to make Spector a part of his sound.

Evergrey was nominated for a Grammy in the Swedish Grammy Awards for the 2003 released album "Recreation Day".

In the spring of 2005, they released their first live album, and their first DVD. the album entered the charts is Sweden as #1 and stayed #1 for three weeks! It stayed in the top 20 for over 8 weeks - a very good showing for a metal band!

They're working on their new album, scheduled for release in March of 2006. It's being produced by Sanken Sanquist and Stefan Glauman. They have produced artists like Rammstein, Bon Jovi, Def Lepard, Britney Spears and many others. Michael wrote us and told us his Spector basses are sounding better then ever.

Thanks Michael, for choosing Spector!

This is PJ Farley, bassist for Republic/Universal recording artists RA who's debut record "From One" sold just under 200,000 units to start. They start work on the new record soon!

If PJ looks familiar, he is! Prior to playing with Ra, he was in a band called Trixter on MCA records back in the early 90's and went on to sell 1 million records, had 3 #1 videos on MTV, and toured with KISS, The Scorpions, Warrant, and many others. In 1992 he was voted 3rd best bass player in Metal Edge magazine.

IHe also says he's been an avid Spector user since 1989.

Thanks PJ, for continuing to choose Spector Basses!
